    What is Robotic Assisted Hip Prosthesis?

    Hip replacement is a surgical procedure in which diseased parts of the hip joint are removed and replaced with artificial new parts. A metal cup is used to replace the hip socket and a metal femoral stem is used to connect the hip to the leg. For patients who are considered suitable candidates for robotic-assisted hip replacement, SOS orthopedic surgeons use a computed tomography (CT) scan of the damaged hip to create a three-dimensional model of the surgical field.

    During surgery, the surgical robot interprets the information provided by the CT scan and guides the surgeon in preparing the implant point and placing the hip implant. The main advantages of the robotic-assisted procedure are accuracy and precision. Correct alignment and positioning of hip implants are critical factors in hip replacement procedures. The surgical robot provides a stable environment for hip replacement and clear, accurate information about the damaged hip that the surgeon can use for optimal implantation.

    Ek olarak, cerrahi robotun yazılımı, cerrahın çalıştığı ayrıntılı bir \”zarfı\” eşler ve bu zarfın dışında herhangi bir harekete izin vermez, böylece çevredeki dokuya zarar verme potansiyelini en aza indirir.

    Robotik Destekli Kalça Protezi\’nin Faydaları

    The precision of robotic-assisted surgery provides;

    • More accurate implant positioning giving a more natural feel after surgery
    • Improved safety and less risk of injury to adjacent tissues
    • small incisions
    • Potential for better long-term function
